Task Priority Guide

Back to guides

When the High-Gnome task list grows, use these tiers to avoid conflicting objectives and wasted time.

Interior view with task objectives and loot targets
Tier 1Mandatory orders

Complete high-priority tasks that gate the run or unlock safe exits. These are non-negotiable.

Assign to whoever is closest. All other activity pauses.

Tier 2Fast wins

Tasks that share a route with loot drops or scouting paths. Efficient because you’re already there.

Hauler or scout picks these up mid-route. Don’t detour.

Tier 3Optional bonuses

Extra tasks only after the crew has a clear exit plan. Skip them if time or noise is tight.

Only attempt if all Tier 1 done and extraction route is confirmed.

TASK PRIORITY ORDER:
T1 (DO FIRST): Gate tasks / mandatory orders
T2 (MID-ROUTE): Fast wins on existing paths
T3 (IF TIME): Optional bonuses after exit confirmed

RULE: Never start T3 if any T1 is unfinished.

Priority system based on task-thrashing patterns observed in CaRtOoNz's extended session and Steam's High-Gnome task description.
